Senior Java Developer The AT&T Mobility Consumer eCommerce Team is responsible for AT&T's online presence for selling products and services. This industry leading telecom site has previously ranked in the top five retail web sites visited on both Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We support millions of UVs every month and enable a crucial channel for AT&T. We are seeking a Senior Java Developer for the B2C buy flow development team who has solid combined experience in Java development and database modeling and design. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our site as we continue to innovate and drive more sales through our channel. Primary responsibilities include: Responsibilities: · Database modeling and design. · Design and develop Java/ATG software components in a fast paced multidisciplinary environment. · Lead on discrete development projects and should take complete ownership of technical solution. · Develop accurate level of effort estimates, and manage task schedules. · Excellent communication skills that can be used to effectively communicate technical concepts to business teams. · Understand consumer customer requirements with respect to its impact to the success of the business goal and be able to translate them to a technical implementation. · Suggest innovative solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, performance improvements, and better user experiences. · Provide direction and mentoring to junior developers. · Interact well with other technical team leaders such as architects, testing, analysts, and release managers as a lead member of the development team in order to accomplish the business goal. · Writing catalog approach documents and catalog design documents. · Lead on discrete development projects and should take complete ownership of technical solution. · Develop accurate level of effort estimates, and manage task schedules. · Work very closely with various teams (Development, PMO, QA, Release Management and Marketing) to accomplish tasks. · Represent the catalog team in JAD sessions, initiate JAD sessions and participate jointly with other teams in arriving at a solution and documenting the catalog technical solution. Required Skills: · 5 years of J2EE and Java programming experience · Candidate must have 5 years of experience in Oracle SQL and scripting. · Candidate must have 5 years of experience in Database Design, Modeling and Development. · 2 - 4 years of experience in implementing ATG 2007 based applications using Product Catalog, Commerce, Personalization and Scenario servers. · Strong understanding of Java programming best practices and J2EE · Strong understanding of JSP, AJAX, XML, XSLT and basic UI - Technologies · Strong understanding of distributed computing concepts · Strong object oriented design and design patterns experience · Strong understanding of SDLC processes and methodologies · Strong understanding with relational database SQL · Strong analytical, problem solving, and production diagnostic skills. · The eComm Common Catalog is hosted on the ATG platform. Candidates need 2 years experience in ATG tools like ATG Control Center (ACC) and ATG Merchandizing. · Analytical and detail oriented person with experience managing a web catalog or similar. · Good oral and written communication skills. Candidate must have a good understanding of relationship database modeling concepts and schema management.
