POSITION: Warehouse Manager
OVERVIEW OF THE DUTIES INCLUDE; BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: • Sets workload priorities for the warehouse employees and ensure the work is being accomplished safely. • Track drums, do cycle counts, update the warehouse drum inventory, and raw material inventory. • Gather information regarding bulk shipments out, raw material shipments in, raw material trailers unloaded and clean trailers. • Track and coordinate trailers assigned to bulk loads. • Update dispatch report and tankwagon log. • Coordinate pick tickets, BOL’s, COA’s and MSDS sheets for drum orders, ensure labeling is accurate for on-time shipments, and all appropriate parties are notified accordingly. • Arrange for common carriers pick up times for drum shipments, acid loads, and bulk shipments. • Direct inventory of warehouse finished product and raw materials every quarter, key in inventory data and reconcile differences between physical and perpetual inventories. • Work with and resolve discrepancies that may occur with the traffic clerk, production managers, or quality control in order to process shipments accurately and on time. • Use AS/400 Infinium server platform to input and retrieve data to process drum shipments and receipts. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree preferred in business or management or a minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in Warehouse or Logistics in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting, preferably chemicals. • Familiarity with AS/400 a plus or other database server tools. • Excellent computer skills are a must with knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. • Critical thinking skills and ability to constructively resolve conflicts. • High energy, resilience, bias for action, adaptability, and a passion for excellence. • Broad understanding of business issues, metrics, organizational linkages, and customer value. • Ability to build partnerships across and between functional groups and lead a project team. • Strong interpersonal skills, essential in dealing with people at all levels and in a variety of functions; able to influence and motivate others to quickly achieve results • Self-confident, ability to accept and respond to challenges in a positive manner. • Ability to challenge the organization in a manner that maintains trust and respect. • Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively present complex topics in a concise manner. • Must be able to work extended hours, weekends as needed, especially when problems occur or when deadlines must be met. • Some travel may be required.
