Job Description: 

Assists the research staff in the initiation, design, development and implementation of research projects.

Position Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

•Plans and executes laboratory research.  
•Specific experiments may include any of the following: tissue harvest and processing, RNA isolation, RT/PCR, assay execution.
•Manage and coordinate aspects of assigned research projects.
•Assist in carrying out various tasks for ongoing research projects.
•Assist in preparation of documents required for government applications (i.e. 510(k)’s).

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in a science discipline or biomedical engineering and 0-2 years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

•Design experience or working knowledge of mechanical devices
•Ability to use office equipment such as computer terminal, calculator, copier, and fax machine
•PC application skills with spreadsheet and word processing software
•Superior interpersonal, written communication, time management, organizational, and detail oriented skills.
•Computer skills in PC office software is a plus.
