Northrop Grumman Information Systems seeks a Senior Mission Assurance (Quality) Engineer for its Manufacturing/Hardware Integration Operations in the Huntsville Alabama area. This position will be involved in all facets of Quality Engineering Activities supporting multiple programs and product lines. Key responsibilities will include a combination of Program Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality Engineering duties. This position will require travel to supplier & customer locations as required. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency in quality program leadership, supplier partnering, Lean/Six Sigma utilization, in-depth measures and Data Analysis skills, excellent communications ability, outstanding computer skills, and the ability to drive issues to closure. Key duties will include Team Leadership, Quality Metrics & Measures Development, Problem Solving & Resolution, Supplier Certification & Development, Engineering Drawing Review, SAP MRP System Utilization, Continuous Improvement Team Activity, Procedure/Process/CDRL Review & Development, Quality System Audits, and in-depth use of Quality Tools. * Define, implement, & maintain Supplier Quality/MA programs * Actively engages in supplier evaluation, qualification and selection as part of the Business Acquisition Process * Utilize supplier performance data bases and supplier quality/MA management systems to evaluate supplier performance, initiate in-depth trend analysis, develop supplier ratings & score cards, and work with suppliers to drive improved performance results. * Coordinates and oversees Quality/MA activities over all program phases. * Participate and/or lead program Quality/MA support activities * Utilize Program performance data bases and systems to analyze program performance in an effort to lead & drive program improvement efforts. * Investigate and lead problem resolution to closure The following are basic qualifications: * Bachelor's degree plus minimum 9 years experience or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree * AS-9100 or ISO-9001 Lead Auditor Experience * 5-10 Years Hardware Quality/MA Engineering Experience * 3-5 Years Supplier Quality/MA Engineering Experience * Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt Experience * Excellent Communication & Organizational Skills Required * Excellent Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.) * Must be flexible: work independently one day then team leader the next * Ability to Interface and liaison with all levels of management, suppliers, & customers * Up to 50% Travel * Must be able to obtain a secret clearance The following are considered assets: * SAP ERP/MRP experience is a BIG Plus |
