One to three years experience in set-up and operation of CNC and Manual – Lathe and Milling Machines. Machine parts and castings to close tolerances. Demonstrated ability in the use of micrometers, vernier calipers, overhead crane and hand tools. Machines used in shop: Kearney Treker, Mori Seiki, Olofson, Schiess, Mitsibutsi, Cincinnati, Mazak, Motch and Travisan. Work from layouts and to dimensions on drawings, using indicators, height gauges, etc. Loads, aligns, sets-up and operates machines per drawing instructions. Unloads, checks for quality. Debur casting/part, as required.. Maintain quality, quantity. Maintain clean and orderly work area. Follow all safety procedures. Maintains records of production (route cards) Requirements: Use of shop arithmetic. Ability to read blueprints. Knowledge of machining methods, cutting tools, cutting qualities of metals and overall manufacturing experience. 1-3 years of machining experience or graduate of machining program. Candidate must be open to working 2 nd or 3 rd shift. Shift assignment will be determined by machine openings and skill set . Please do not apply if you are unable to work off shifts, first shift is not available ! Shift assignment will be determined at interview. Good work history (3-4 years minimum in one place) Machining metals, specifically castings. Mechanical Ability Willingness to learn Presentation during interview (communication, demeanor, how application was filled out, accountability, high standards, sense of urgency, technical skills, etc.) What we are not looking for: Drill Press operators, Tool and Diem , p oor work history and i nability to work either 2 nd or 3 rd shift
