| Job Description: |
Perform bacteriological, physical, chemical and other tests on raw and finished product. Responsible for hold/release/rejection of finished goods and inbound loads/ingredients. Verifies compliance and alerts QA Manager of any deviations from specifications. Performs in-plant weight checks, temperature checks, ingredient usage and distribution, finished product appearance, code date verification, pH testing. Responsible for daily finished product evaluations. Performs environmental testing. Maintains all lab records. Helps control plant losses. Complete all duties in a manner that is consistent with all aspects of Company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Perform other functions as directed by Supervisor. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Some college preferred 1 1/2 to 2 years prior QA lab experience in Food Industry Knowledge of process flow and associated equipment Good math and data entry skills Take directions and follow instructions accurately. Communicate effectively, both verbally and written Must be able to routinely lift up to 25 lbs Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time Must be able to stoop and reach on a regular basis Performs related duties as assigned by QA Manager or Supervisor on duty.
