Position Summary:


Responsible for execution of Sara Lee Retail category/brand strategies at the Customer level that deliver Sara Lee Retail AOP. Responsible for understanding the Customer's key objectives and strategies and implementing collaborative business plans that deliver long-term mutual growth. Manage the interface at the Customer, resulting in achievement of volume and profit targets. Implement corporate strategies and Category Leadership Programs (CLP) with the Customer through to the store. Responsible for selling strategies and tactics of Customer Category Plans through to retail execution. Primary Customer point of contact.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Penetrate Customer and establishes business relationships that enable collaborative business planning initiatives, where appropriate.

  • Penetrate and establish relationships across multiple touch points of Customer's value chain (Marketing, Category Management, Supply Chain, and Retail Operations). Own development, review and maintenance of the Sara Lee Retail Customer Profile. Provide qualitative Customer information that is utilized for Customer Segmentation & AOP planning process

  • Own and lead development of tactical business planning activities with Customer, which may include HQs and/or retailer groups/divisions, ensuring achievement of AOP.

  • Develop and execute Customer tactics, and key initiatives that deliver Sara Lee Retail AOP.

  • Develop and execute category tactics (DSMPs) and key initiatives.

  • Coordinate cross-functional resources (Category Management, Retail Operations, Sales Operations, Customer Marketing, Marketing, and Supply Chain) by providing consistent direction and support.

  • Responsible for post-promotion analysis.

  • Develop, for approval by accountable supervisor, and maintain the most efficient and effective trade spending plan, with guidelines established by the AOP.

  • Responsible for execution of AOP that is primarily built by PDM/Team Lead/Director.

  • Travel between MN, WI, IA.




  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • 1-3 years relevant CPG experience to include some combination of Customer/Trade Marketing, Customer Management and/or Category Management.
