Job Description Siemens Healthcare University Relations Human Resources Internship Department & Internship Overview The University Relations team at Siemens Healthcare is part of the Staffing organization and is responsible for the management of all on-campus recruiting activities in order to attract entry-level talent to our organization. In addition to on-campus recruiting, the University Relations team is responsible for creating and implementing the summer intern program. The selected candidate for this position will join the University Relations team and assist with the intern hiring process for Summer 2010. Internship requirements Academic Degree: Bachelors/Masters student Major: Human Resources Management/Development, Organizational Development Minimum GPA: 3.0 Technical skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, experience with PeopleSoft and/or an applicant tracking system is a plus Other requirements: Pursuing a motivated student who is able to work both independently and in a team, must be able to multi-task and have excellent verbal/written communication skills. Prior internship experience in a Staffing organization is preferred Internship duration: Starting as soon as possible for 2 months Preferred hours/week: 2 days/week (16 hours) Compensation: This internship offers a competitive hourly wage. Internship responsibilities • Support University Relations team in screening potential summer intern candidate resumes and performing initial phone screens • Assist internship coordinator in completing all necessary hiring paperwork • Lead new intern orientation sessions as needed • Support the coordination of on-campus events • Perform weekly analyses on upcoming intern end dates and manage the communication process with managers |
