Strategic responsibilities:


  • Provides strategic direction and vision for all integrated supply chain activities and assists in the development of the business STRUCTURED REQUIREMENTS ANALYSIS PLANNING (STRAP).
  • Develops a manufacturing strategy and drives an effective ISC goal deployment process that aligns with STRAP.
  • Develops and drives continuous improvement agenda that ensures that productivity and plant/product transition projects are successfully executed.
  • Build consensus across multiple organizations/enterprise, working with multiple customers and stakeholders, including regulatory agencies/DoD.
  • Provides site leadership/representation for all site functions, including Health, Safety and Environmental, facilities, communications, community service activities, government and compliance representation.
  • Champions deployment of Honeywell Operating System (HOS) as Focused Deployment Site.

Operational/Financial Responsibilities:


  • Accountable for ensuring a safe work environment for employees and ensuring compliance to all applicable environmental regulations.
  • Ensures that cost, quality, and delivery goals are met.
  • Responsible for developing and executing the AOP and has direct responsibility for departmental spend and managing budget.
  • Drives site to achieve/surpass financial commitments.
  • Manages inventories to achieve cash flow goals.
  • Drives functional excellence within all manufacturing and materials mgt. functions.
  • Establishes and implements standard manufacturing and materials mgt. practices.
  • Integrates key elements of Supply Chain to improve linearity and predictability of core processes
  • Builds Honeywell Operating System (HOS) foundation and integrates Six Sigma/Lean tools to continuously improve productivity, process yields, and reduce COPQ.
  • Improve quality through use of Voice-of-the-Customer feedback.
  • Provides customer interface support as required.
  • Implements SAP/ERP systems with high-degree of leadership engagement in preparation and stabilization.

Leadership/People Responsibilities:


  • Build cohesive team of manufacturing and materials mgt. employees, closely integrated with sourcing. Act as site leader for other non-ISC functions, ensuring alignment in site leadership team.
  • Creates positive working environment with other functional leaders. Actively maintains positive employee relations.
  • Ensures all compliance activities are performed.
  • Drives plant people strategies including Succession Planning, MRR, HPD and career development processes.
  • Actively coach, develop and provide performance feedback/actions to managers, associates and support staff.
  • Change Agent - influences, consults, leads efforts for sharing and standardizing of best practices and processes.

Success factors:


  • Ability to develop, execute and achieve tactical and strategic initiatives through active leadership that positively impact business plans, operating profits, practices, policies and procedures.
  • Understanding and application of Lean, integrated supply chain principles, and FAA/DoD quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of repair and overhaul business is desired.
  • Ability to observe and detect process defects, develop visual management systems, and create effective environment that engages problem-solving by all employees.
  • Ability to effectively select, develop, coach, empower and motivate a staff to ensure growth in their scope of responsibility and accountability for operational excellence.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with an understanding of your audience and to present ideas and gain commitments that are crucial to the success of the business.
  • Widely trusted, direct, truthful and credible by showing consistency between words and actions. Abides and upholds all laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge and ability to develop and interpret operating plans, budgets, capital plans and financial statements.
  • Own, support and uphold HS&E policies and guidelines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lead change and establish operational metrics/key indicators for process control, communication, and performance improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and changing priorities; work extended hours when required, make sound decisions under pressure, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • A strong bias for action and results oriented.
  • Possess conflict management skills and understand self-directed work teams.
  • Ability to build strong teams with positive relations. Relates well to all levels of the organization.

Basic Qualifications:


  • US citizenship required due to government contracts
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or technical discipline.
  • 5 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent required

Additional Qualifications:


  • An MBA or Master's degree in related discipline is preferred.
  • Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification preferred.
  • Experience or knowledge of the Aerospace industry is preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of advanced manufacturing methods and systems.
  • Demonstrated and measurable improvements in Operations and Quality.
