Honeywell PMT is currently seeking an Outage Maintenance Planner for their Hopewell, VA location.



Responsibilities:


  • Estimating and initiating work orders for capital projects, both mechanical and E/I (electrical/instrumentation)

  • Preparing, forecasting, and explaining cost variance for outage work

  • Procuring equipment and materials and outside services with focus on fixed price packages

  • Managing repairs, purchases, invoices, and receipts for outage work

  • Kitting outage work

  • Reviewing backlog outage maintenance notifications in SAP and progress P4 work orders ahead of outage

  • Developing and maintaining mechanical maintenance documentation

  • Updating bill of materials as required for outages

  • Developing and updating job plans for specific repairs / pieces of equipment

  • Auditing and retaining shop papers and job history forms for mechanical maintenance

  • Communicating with Area Coordinators / Mechanical FLS (First Line Supervisor) on daily activities and work priorities

  • Administrative oversight of contractors, (including nested contractors)

  • Other work as required

Basic Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 5 years' experience in planning large multi contractor outages

  • 5 years' experience working in an industrial plant


Additional Qualifications


  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate safety into foundations of work activities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization

  • Demonstrated ability to use influencing skills to accomplish goals and objectives

  • Able to manage multiple priorities

  • Knowledgeable in repair techniques for a broad application of mechanical equipment

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

  • Demonstrated ability in the use of maintenance work processes

  • Ability to drive improvement in processes within the framework of Honeywell Operating System (or similar LEAN management processes)

  • Experience of the use of IT tools to forecast and monitor key outage metrics e.g. work hours and task progression

  • High level of computer skills in the processing of information in particular Microsoft Office

  • Experience and competency in the use of SAP for planning activities

  • Experience in Primavera preferred
