We are hiring a Manufacturing Equipment Technician II-Third Shift for our Cranston, RI facility. This third shift position is from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.



Job duties:




  • Follow all safety standards and requirements.

  • Ensure that all safety features and functions of the machinery are operational and within specification before machinery is turned over to an operator for production.

  • Diagnose and repair simple and complex production machinery and equipment, facility equipment, electrical and mechanical systems with general supervision.

  • Analyze malfunctions and repair, rebuild and maintain equipment using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, specifications, manuals and blueprints.

  • Exhibit the initiative to anticipate equipment problems and to plan and implement corrective action to minimize failures and emergencies.

  • Perform preventative maintenance within pre-established schedules or as needed.

  • Order, control and organize spare/replacement parts and plan work providing estimates for planning purposes.

  • Working proactively with scheduling and production to plan and implement preventative service minimizing emergency stoppages.

  • Record maintenance and repair work performed in logs, both manual and computerized.

  • Work with management to develop or modify maintenance strategy for optimum results.

  • Actively participate in daily tier meetings.

  • Engage in two-way communication with operators working on the equipment.

  • Relies on and follows the position’s Standard Work guidelines to perform the position’s requirements, to ensure compliance to:
    HSE (Health Safety and Environmental) site standards and
    HOS (Honeywell Operating System Requirements).

  • Submit supply requisitions as needed to maintain the necessary inventory of repair parts.

  • HOS (Honeywell Operating System)

  • Understand and be involved in reporting area’s HOS metrics (KIOSK, individual work station)

  • TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) – Is involved as defined by standard work guideline.

  • 5S - Maintains work areas up to housekeeping standards.

  • DOTWIMP - Actively engaged in eliminating all forms of waste.

  • RPS (Rapid Problem Solving) - Responds to Andon / Stack Lights as required.

  • Continuous Improvements – Actively engaged in suggesting and leading improvements.

  • Immediately highlight issues (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & Inventory)

  • Any other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:




  • 5 years of industrial mechanic experience.

  • High School diploma or GED.


Additional Qualifications:




  • Familiar with complex production machinery, preventive maintenance routines, troubleshooting methodology, safe work practices, and how to complete machinery repairs in a timely professional manner is preferred.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to participate in group meetings.

  • Excellent attendance is preferred.

  • Ability to be a role model for team members is a plus.

  • Must understand and follow written work instructions.

  • Possess a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated honesty, cooperation, professionalism and integrity is a plus.

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting, PLC programming, and HMI diagnostic repair is desired.

  • Proven safety performance record is a plus.
