Northrop Grumman is looking for a Flight Test / Line / Deck Quality Inspector(s) who can perform the inspection on demonstrator, flight test and production aircraft for functional operation and conformance to government and company standards and specifications. Inspects the installation and operation of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of aircraft. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Some formal training will be required. Perform inspections for preflight through post-flight and flight test. Maintain customer-required forms to current version. Coordinate and process all DD-250 or DD-1149 forms for delivery of aircraft to customer. Candidate will be working in and around Rancho Bernardo and San Clemente area and consequently need to reside in the general area. The individual should be prepared to perform QA support in field conditions as this will represent approximately 50-60% of their time.
The candidate will have the demonstrated ability to work around composites/epoxies/sealants for long periods of time; to climb and stand on tooling for long periods of time; to work in and around confined spaces/fuel tanks; to use precision measurement equipment; to work any shift or schedule and flexible hours as required to support multiple programs; to travel domestically and internationally & be able to retain a secret security clearance as a minimum. Must be able to verify and document as-built configuration of assemblies and systems. Must be accurate, timely and neat in all documentation skills. Must be able to perform test data review and witness final acceptance testing of end item assemblies and systems to assure compliance to all applicable specifications and procedures. Must be able to diligently read, comprehend and work to engineering drawings, parts lists, specifications, procedures and instructions. Proficient with Windows computer applications (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) . Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: High School degree, or equivalent plus 4 years of related experience. Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: A&P license and 10 yrs flight test/ flight line/ flight deck with Unmanned Air Vehicle experience a significant plus. Ability to read blueprints.
