Promise - Service Model Transformation Initiative

 

Promise is the most significant transformation Avon has commissioned in over 50 years and is a key component of the Chairman's Growth Agenda. Promise is chartered with delivering a seamless service experience for how Representatives do business with customers and Avon.

 

To address Avon's current and future business needs, the integrated service model will encapsulate a combination of innovative ideas from within the organization, industry and Avon leading practices, and lessons learned. Critical business processes and enabling technologies are being reengineered to transform the order to delivery experience and Representative care.

The initiative was launched in May 2010 when a core team was formed in White Plains NY to lead the effort.  The team is comprised of selected associates from global business functions as well as key markets including Brazil, Mexico, Russia, US, and UK.

 

Since May 2010, the team has led the development of the vision for the Representative experience of the future.  Using this vision as a foundation, the team defined the Global Core Service Model capabilities, processes, and system requirements and received Executive sign off on our business process design in May of 2011.

 

Avon will be leveraging ECC 6.0 and CRM 7.0 including the Customer Interaction Center. ECC will be the cornerstone of the order to cash process for Avon's new Global Core Service Model, along with Vistex for Pricing and Promotions.  We will be piloting our solution in Canada in late 2012 prior to rolling out to our top 5 markets Brazil, US, Mexico, UK and Russia over the next 4 years.

 

Avon is looking for seasoned SAP professionals to add to our staff of Business and IT high performing teams.  This is a unique opportunity to build a new platform that will enable Avon's aggressive growth plans and delight millions of Avon Representatives around the world.

 







  • SAP configuration for the ECC 6.0 SD module and RTOM to support core Marketing and Order Management business processes, with specific emphasis on RTOM integration with SD order processing for offer integration, RTOM offer master data, and working knowledge of RTOM technical integration with CRM/ECC.











  • Contribute to the custom development lifecycle including identifying software gaps, FRICEW items, creating functional specs, performing unit testing, integration testing, training support, and go live support











  • Support the Avon Global SAP system implementations working collaboratively with Avon's System Integrators and partners and SAP technical team resources, as needed











  • Advocate and enforce applicable standards, policies, procedures, and best practices in the implementation and /or maintenance of application or application modules











  • Assume on-going support responsibility for the RTOM configurations and reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF) integration











  • Coach and mentor Business Process Owners and business subject matter experts in regard to pursuing continuous improvement of Avon business processes via SAP and relevant add-on software capabilities and industry "best practices"











  • Lead the design and implementation of  RTOM  integration with Customer-facing e-commerce solutions and Vistex.











  • Partner with peers when coordinating delivery and problem-solving across IT functions; secure the involvement and participation of other IT organizations as needed to deliver high quality application solutions and support











  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business and IT stakeholders within Avon








  • Minimum requirement is a Bachelors degree in computer science, MBA in Marketing preferred.



  • Strong service management skills with an emphasis on business-facing roles.  Technical background and training is also a plus.





  • 2 years SAP hands-on experience with the configuration and development of SD pricing







  • SAP RTOM  a big plus but not required







  • A willingness to learn RTOM essential if no prior RTOM experience.







  • Experience with Trade Promotions Management a plus.







  • Knowledge of developing web services and consumer proxies.







  • Work experience with BRF (Business Rule Frameowrk).







  • Knowledge of XML, XLST, Java Script and ABAP is preferred.







  • Thorough understanding of the SAP Sales and Distribution module .







  • Proficient with SAP product module business processes, navigation mechanics, and configuration requirements







  • Experience in gathering system requirements, designing and prototyping, testing and implementing solutions







  • Thorough understanding of business processes across different industries. Direct Selling and Consumer Packaged Goods industries preferred







  • A full cycle SAP implementation experience in a multi-national environment is a requirement.







  • Knowledge of SAP Queries, LSMW, IDOCS is a plus.







  • Knowledge of Vistex a plus but not required

  • High level of discretion and judgment

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English. Other language skills is an asset

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve problems and manage processes within a complex environment

  • Excellent documentation skills

  • Very good presentation skills

  • Proactive in learning and highly self-motivated

  • Good team player and ability to lead a team in a matrix organization model

  • Knowledge of enterprise-level applications and understanding of distributed setup (data centers across globe)

  • ITIL Framework  is a plus

  • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
