Field Engineer supporting Northrop Grumman cognizant equipment installed and used onboard SSBNs and SSGNs at Kings Bay, GA. Duties include providing technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Analyze equipment failures to determine cause in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommend actions to company or customer representatives for coordinating product solution. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Maintain performance and maintenance records on equipment. Write trouble/casualty reports, test documentation and procedures in accordance with product and customer specifications. Prepare required status reports and daily log of tasks/repairs accomplished. Acts as local on-site representative to customer’s organization.
Bachelor of Science degree required with 2-4 years of TRIDENT II Launcher experience. PC skills required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to work well with others. Periodic location reassignments and travel may be required. Recent SSBN or Navy service experience highly desired.
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
