Location:  Please note, this positon is located at our Suwanee, Georgia Distribution Center. 

 

Performs analysis and statistical tracking of operational and picking efficiencies. Slot products on the shipping floor. Works to optimize picking efficiencies and productivity campaign over campaign, year over year.  Physically slots and monitors product placement and performance across the Shipping floor to MAS, OSR, Manual Assembly, Literature Dispensing, Off Line Bulk, LPS, etc.   Utilizes resources such as the operations bulletin, campaign brochure, etc. to develop campaign picking strategy.  Strong understanding of the Warehouse Management System (WMOS) and Warehouse Control System (WCS).  Performs all Line Balance Campaign changeover planning and clerical functions, including preparation and distribution of all changeover paperwork. Responsible for the accurate, timely and efficient processing of Representative and Customer orders.  Achieves key process and operational cost improvements in accordance with established company policies and procedures. Fosters Team environment.

 

Achieves continual process improvement.  Focus on accuracy, expense management, and order processing schedule, throughput / flow management and Representative value proposition.

Initiates rebalance moves that are required during the Campaign to improve order flow.

Develops merchandise set-up in all operational areas - Literature, Mechanical Assembly, Pick-to-Light, Off Line Bulk, Large Packer system to optimize picking efficiencies.

Reviews Campaign Operational Bulletins, Data Processing listings, special instructions regarding trends, new and discontinued merchandise, and literature instructions for each Campaign taking appropriate action.

Maintains on a daily basis files in the Personal Computer.

Orders Line Balance Reports and downloads from the Information Services Department.

Performs setups and balancing of the Manager Shipment, Trendsetter and National stations.

Maintains database of key performance indicators including, pieces, orders, pieces picked by area, pieces picked by campaign, etc.

Maintains accuracy of item data database (i.e. merchandise attributes, weight, volume, dimensions, etc.)

Performs other duties as assigned. 

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree required; Concentration in a Technical Discipline (Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Operations Management) or five years Supply Chain experience required.  

  • Working knowledge of merchandise, finished stock code system, product size and product placement within the Order Fulfillment system. 

  • Perform work requiring a high degree of accuracy. 

  • Detailed planning, analytical skills and customer service priority. 

  • Proficient in operating personal computers and calculator.  Strong Excel, Access and Crystal Reports experience. 

  • Reads, writes and speaks English at the level required by the communication demands of the position with all levels of management. 

  • Must have a proven high degree of accuracy as well as good customer service. 

  • Solves problems with little supervision. 

  • Interpret information and arrive at a logical conclusion or recommendation.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing at various levels, both internal and external to Avon.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.

  • Excellent basic math skills.

  • Some physical effort needed in working with Materials. 

  • May involve frequent walking, sitting and operation of office machines requiring visual attention, dexterity and coordination.
