Job Description:  Avon, the company for women, is a leading global beauty company, with over $10 billion in annual revenue. The Assistant, Commercial Marketing - Accessories and Apparel is responsible for assisting the commercial marketing tean. The marketing assistant will need to have a creative mind balanced with a love of numbers, a passion for problem solving, branding and fashion.


 


Responsibilities and Key Tasks, include:

o Working with  Category Sr Manager and Manager, the Assistant,  will ensure that product flow meets legal requirements

o Prepare reports and analyses to be used by management and ad hoc projects as needed

o Interface with merchandising to ensure that all plans are implemented in accordance with each category's strategic objectives, and work with Product           


   Development  to make sure items are reasonable in light of trends, history, and the competitive environment

   Maintain side by sides, and compile research materials

o Interface with Creative to ensure that all Marketing/Merchandising strategies are executed in accordance with campaign vision

   Elevate  inconsistencies in planning, communication, product, and reports

o Plan and maintain campaigns when needed

o Ensure leader lists and planning systems are accurate

o Ensure system is updated and accurate and that we are meeting our profit plan after each update

o Attend and represent the team at key meetings


o Help manage the Creative Turnover Process

o Team lead on all product setups

o The Assistant Manager will prepare various reports and analyses to be used by management and ad hoc projects as needed.

o Interface with: estimating, campaign management, creative, product development and other departments

o Ensure that all plans are implemented in accordance with each category's strategic objectives

o Ensure that product flow meets legal requirements. Ensure that prices, products, and offers are promoted correctly in What's New, AIA, brochure, and flyers

  Track and report on selling trends


   Help identify partnerships and alliances to elevate the brand

• Bachelor's degree required.

• 2 years of Marketing experience, preferably in retail, beauty/fashion.


Desired Skills

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills

• Strong communication skills


• Self motivated, can work in a team and well as alone, takes iniaitive


• Great follow up is essential

• Out of the box thinker- desire to take strategic risks and try new strategies

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Additional skills: proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
