Job Description:  Where Technology and Teamwork come together... Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This is a full time position and will be located in Atlanta, GA. The qualified candidate will support development teams by gathering and analyzing information from a variety of sources to create system requirements and specifications in an agile development environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Serve as the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
• Elicit requirements from subject matter experts using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios and workflow analysis.
• Analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Software Requirements Specification, Business Process Models, Data Flow Diagrams, System Process Models, and Traceability Matrix.
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
• Verify and track satisfaction of requirements in delivered solution through acceptance testing.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and 6 years of experience or equivalent or a Masters Degree and 4 years of experience
  • 5 years working as a Business Analyst, demonstrating strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • 5 years experience working in an agile / iterative development environment.
    • Proven ability to integrate with a team and work well with others.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
    • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
    • Willingness to work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers.
  • Experience gathering requirements from geographically distributed audiences, potentially by phone, webinar, surveys, workgroup etc.
  • Ability to uncover and analyze user needs and formulate formal recommendations and requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 years experience in government contracting environment.
• Experience working within a SCRUM development methodology
• Experience working with the CDC Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) methodology.
• Knowledge of CDC culture, mission, and IT environment
