The electronic technician candidate will be responsible for performing production test operations and routine technical functions on Engineering Model and/or Flight qualified deliverable hardware such as circuit boards, slices, electrical units, and sub-systems. The candidate will be expected to perform acceptance level tasks that include environmental testing, data collection, and system calibration. The candidate is expected to possess a considerable understanding and working knowledge of electrical theory and applications that include analog, digital, RF, mixed-signal, and power products. The candidate must possess a working knowledge of the manufacturing process flow in order to adequately provide support to design engineers, test engineers, fellow technicians and assemblers. The candidate must have sharp analytical skills and will be expected to assist in troubleshooting activities and be able to utilize routine diagnostic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, power supplies, strip-chart recorders, thermal chambers, and similar test apparatus. The candidate must be able to read, follow, and correctly interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, requirement specifications, process documentation, manufacturing work orders, and discrepancy report instructions. The candidate will be expected to work independently with minimal guidance, and must be able to support second and third shift hours, including weekends, when required. The candidate should be flexible in accepting assignments and be able to work and interface in a team environment. The candidate must possess good computer skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word. The candidate is expected have good communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to clearly articulate and document problems and solutions. The candidate will be expected to execute tasks efficiently, thoroughly, and accurately while consistently maintaining high quality.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: An AA or other 2 year technical degree (in related discipline) plus at least three years of related experience. The ability to obtain and security clearance and U.S. Citizenship is required.
A high knowledge of commercial test equipment operation and functionality such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators is preferred. A background in RF circuit testing and tuning is plus.
