Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking an Enterprise Network Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified Network Engineer will support the IT Services Architecture & Engineering (A&E) team on the JRDC contract based at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.
Roles and Responsibilities: • Duties include configuration, installation, testing, troubleshooting and development of design documentation relating to IT network systems in an enterprise environment Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required. Two (2) of the total years experience must be in networking systems design. Years of experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree • 5 years professional experience configuring, installing and troubleshooting networking information systems (routers, switches, long-haul data transmission mediums such as T1, OC-x, etc., and Type I encryption devices) in an enterprise environment • The candidate must possess (or be able to obtain within 60 days of employment) CompTIA Security . One of the following certifications may be substituted for CompTIA Security : Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) or a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: • CCNA, CCNP or CCDP certified with knowledge in virtualization technologies a plus • Position prefers a candidate with a current Secret Clearance
