Northrop Grumman Information Systems, Fires Mission Command Business Area is seeking a candidate to perform Administrative Material Coordination for Fires Mission Command programs. The selected individual must be able to recommend, interpret, and implement company and internal administrative policies and procedures relative to material planning coordination. The candidate will serve as the primary program liaison between Fires Mission Command Program Management, Buyers, and Suppliers for material needs, shipping schedules, forecast information and expediting time critical items. The Material Coordinator will advise program and technical management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential procurement problems to ensure that materials and services are provided as needed. This position will schedule equipment, confirm material supply and demands, and schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders. This position will also work closely with program functional organizations to include Engineering (obsolescence management), Logistics (receipt, inspection, packaging/handling, shipment, transportation and delivery), and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (purchases, GFE, materials control, non-conforming material/corrective action) efforts in relation to their performance of required tasks. The candidate for this position must have the ability to multitask and work within a team atmosphere.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Candidate should have at least 10 years of material coordination planning or manufacturing/warehouse operations experience and a Bachelors degree in Business/Management or Engineering/Technology disciplines. Candidate should be highly proficient in SAP. 4 additional years of applicable experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Preferred Qualifications: Candidate must be an excellent communicator who thrives on solving problem and working in a team environment. The candidate have the proven ability to work and adjust to changes in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Candidate must be self-managing and self-motivated. Proficiency with the MS suite of office tools is strongly desired. Familiarity with Northrop Grumman and IPS processes and procedures a plus. Final grade will be based on education and experience.
