Will function as a Air Vehicle Operator (AVO). Duties include but not limited to: developing and maintaining support materials related to functional check flights (FCFs) and production acceptance check flights (PACs). Monitor and control air vehicle during these flight events. Interface with air vehicle design personnel to discuss any anomalies. Conduct ground events in accordance with established procedures. Participate in post-flight debriefs with applicable personnel. Must be willing to deploy periodically for a minimum of 6 months to overseas location(s). While deployed, will function as an air vehicle operator in support of real-world operations. Remotely operates unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) identified from ground control station or airborne platform and recovers vehicle. Plans and analyzes flight missions. Performs pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight checks and procedures. Stores and retrieves intelligence data using computer. May oversee and assist in air frame repair. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: An AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience as a flight operations crew member - manned or manned. A minimum of 200 hours of flight experience as Pilot in Command of manned or unmanned aircraft. Must have current or be able to attain an FAA Class III physical. Preferred Qualifications: UAV AVO experience highly desirable. Military flight experience and aviation instructor experience also a plus.
