Where Technology and Teamwork come together... Northrop Grumman Information Systems (NGIS) sector is seeking a Software Developer to join our team in the Columbus, OH location. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's IT Support Services Program with the Defense Logistics Agency.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop technical requirements for selected projects. Design processes, procedures, applications, databases and/or other data structures to meet the business needs identified in base-lined requirements. Develop and maintain system architecture diagrams. Develop object oriented structures to security standards and validations. Validate system requirements with the appropriate functional and technical groups to ensure that the project scope is understood and that the technical infrastructure that is in place will support the project. Perform unit testing to ensure accurate execution of each component. Perform programming adjustments as necessary to ensure system performance and accuracy. Perform defect correction and appropriate regression testing of the application. Maintain existing web sites and applications. Evaluate existing applications for vulnerabilities. Support and enhance existing applications and plan for the future using modern architecture, patterns, technologies and secure coding best practices.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
-Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering or a mathematics-intensive discipline, or an applicable training certificate. -A minimum of 9 years software development experience. -DoD Position of Public Trust Adjudication at IT Level I or SSBI required. -Programming skills in: - Java, JSP, Apache - VB.NET, ASP.NET, Visual Studio 2008 – 2010 - HTML, VBScript, and SSL -Development of both Oracle SQL and MS SQL Server databases and Oracle PL/SQL -Working knowledge of operating systems and web systems. -Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. -Experience working within a formal software development process. -Willingness and ability to take on new challenges and grow new skills. -Ability to integrate with a team and work well with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with C#, MS Transact SQL, SQL Reporting Services, Ajax, and JBoss
