The AdWorks media unit within at AT&T connects advertisers with 100 million AT&T customers across the mobile, broadband, IPTV and local search platforms of the world's largest telecommunications company.



The Associate Director, Audience Product Marketing will play a key role in pricing, packaging, and positioning AT&T AdWorks’ audience segments and insights across online, mobile, and IPTV. This individual will enrich the sales team’s understanding of the data gathered across our product offerings and how our audience segmentation and analytics deliver greater value to advertisers.


The individual must be a top notch communicator with fine detail orientation and organization skills. Team building and problem solving skills are critical, as is a thorough understanding of the digital media industry.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Product positioning and messaging—develop positioning and messaging that differentiates our audience-based products in the marketplace.

  • Product launch – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan

  • Market intelligence – be the expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria. Have a deep understanding of the competitive landscape.

  • Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for our products

  • Sales enablement – provide education and leadership to sales on how best to sell true audience segments (as opposed to traditional methods of selling content/sites/publishers that skew toward audience segments)

  • Collaboration—collaborate with cross functional teams to package new audiences and insights and ensure the sales team has what it needs to be successful
The successful candidate will be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial atmosphere, while also being effective within the matrix structure of a Fortune 100 environment. This individual will have a history of being an impact player and is comfortable taking personal ownership in the performance of his/her projects. Experience in wireless, digital and media are required and knowledge and interest in the television media industry is essential.


REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 5-7 years of professional experience in product marketing, digital advertising, and audience development. Outstanding presentation and communication skills via written and verbal delivery. Strong attention to details. Significant experience in managing cross-functional efforts and ability to succeed in cross functional team environment. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Excellent PC skills with a focus on MS Project, Powerpoint, Excel and Word. Conversant in mobile services and Web 2.0 media.
