Sales Support Engineer - Process Control Systems Job Details

• Providing sales support for the PIC product lines (pro-active and pull through) to the geographic Sales and Project & Commercial Support groups by direct customer visits (with Sales individuals or independently), customer meetings/presentations, correspondence, product proposals/pricing and technical support.
  
• Provide advice and recommendations to Project & Commercial Support and Sales personnel for the purpose of developing project strategies and customer value propositions relating to PIC equipment.
  
• Coordinate with other Honeywell UOP departments (e.g. training, services) to supply complete package proposals.
  
• Review and provide Business Forecaster updates to Sales.
  
• Work with PIC engineering to develop technically innovative solutions for potential sales opportunities.
  
• Provide commercial support for sold projects, including travel for project kick off meetings.
  
• Participate in customer Factory Acceptance Tests.
  
• Provide Manager with updates on all sales support visits and summarize activities in monthly report.

• A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Electrical or Chemical Engineering is required.


• Minimum of 3 years work experience in the design, programming and troubleshooting of PLC based instrumentation and control systems solutions is required.

Additional Candidate Qualifications:

• A background in Process Control engineering is desired.


• Experience with refining, petrochemical and or gas processing applications is considered ideal.


• Good organization skills are needed.


• Good oral, written and verbal communication skills are needed.


• Good problem solving skills are necessary.


• PLC Hardware/Software experience is considered a plus.


• The ability to travel approximately 10% annually to fabrication shops, customer offices, detailed-designer offices, and customer sites around the world is required.
