The role of Sr. Manager COE Sourcing and Material planning is to:

1.  Lead the Global sourcing COE team.

2.  Partner with the regional functional leads/COE's and the business leaders, globally to manage the implementation and evolution of core model functionality as it relates to Sourcing and Material Planning.

3.  Oversee and govern those projects that Avon will continue to execute to transform the current supply chain processes and systems to support the business & its strategy (mostly referred to as project McConnell). These Projects will consist of implementations and roll outs of E1, E2open, and Ariba software.

 

Additionally, this role will have accountability for business process modeling and the PCR process (to approve changes for those countries that have gone through mcconnell implementations) to ensure that all sourcing and material planning related enhancements are moving in the direction of the globally defined core model and are aligned with the Global McConnell transformation strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities

 


  • Lead ongoing management and evolution of the Source and Material Planning COE team.

  • Partner with the functional leaders of sourcing and material planning to identify improvement points and keep up with externally recognized best practices.

  • Provide insights to McConnell related projects (E1, E2open, Ariba, for CFT, PFG, Indirect, Print and paper and Contract Manufacturing).

  • Collaborate with Other functional COE leads to ensure sensible enhancements are made from and end to end process perspective

  • Lead Governance activities

  • Work with the Regional COE's and Business leaders to capture global requirements for PCR enhancements and core model extensions

  • Work with regional IT leads to communicate our Global requirements as applicable

  • Partner with Global Business Process Leads and the business-IT interface to understand business requirements to ensure priorities and timelines are aligned.

  • Provide input to major timeline updates to take place during the Annual Planning & Prioritization.

  • Make regular presentations on Sourcing strategies and projects to Senior Management including CIO and Heads of Supply Chain and Global Sourcing


  • Bachelors Degree (minimum); MBA a strong plus.

  • 7 - 10 years professional IT and Sourcing / material planning experience.

  • ERP global implementation exp strongly desired.

  • Experience with implementing/managing System integration, functional and some technical knowledge of E1 required

  • Strong people and project management skills required

  • Strong presentation skills required

  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy & ambiguity.

  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships as well as interact & present effectively with credibility at all levels of the organization up through the C-suite.

  • Communicates clearly and effectively to gain support of new ideas and processes. Good listening and influencing skills.

  • Ability to understand and assimilate seemingly disparate data into comprehensive well balanced strategies and recommendations

  • Proven ability to lead cross organization teams - getting things done through others

  • Strong analytical & project management skills with the ability to understand the details. Drives for results but looks for the win-win.
