Job Description: 

Develops and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations in reference to accredited information systems. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manual outlining regulations, and established procedures for handling, storing and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Law Enforcement, Information Systems or other related field. Top Secret Clearance Required. 1-2 years of related experience plus Bachelor's Degree.
The candidate for this position must have a firm understanding of the security policies, procedures, and directives of the DCID 6/3 manuals to develop and administer security programs and procedures for classified support. Additionally, the candidate must have basic knowledge of computer systems, their components and their relationship to the DCID 6/3 or ICD 503. As well, the position requires that the ISSO have the ability to make sound decisions, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions with the ability to effectively communicate information to various audiences both verbally and through written communications. The ISSO must be able to pass an extensive government background investigation and the government sponsored industrial polygraph examination, if required. CISSP Certification a plus. Additional Qualifications include: demonstrated experience in the use of Desktop computing, basic office equipment and the following relevant software applications: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Access and Outlook.
