Job Description: 

This position is located in Oklahoma City on the KC-10 program. This position requires the ability to provide engineering and technical knowledge applied to the maintenance, sustainment, and operation of a large, military transport/refueling aircraft. Must be able to establish engineering specifications, conduct technical research using drawings and specifications, perform analysis, and conduct prototyping and test evaluation. Position requires extensive experience with aircraft structures, structural repair development, aircraft mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and depot maintenance practices. This position requires management, coordination, and oversight of all Major Component Changes, Technical Compliance Technical Orders, Service Bulletins and other maintenance procedures. Works with field locations, operations, depot, and engineering staff to plan, develop, and implement solutions affecting fleet airworthiness and maintenance. Must be experienced with applicable USAF and FAA regulations pertaining to maintenance, repair, alteration, and modification of aircraft. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, emphasis will be on modifications and maintenance requirements to ensure customer contract requirements are met. Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

Full knowledge of industry practices. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks. Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance. Works under only very general supervision. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy. Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals. Frequent internal company and external contacts. Represents organization on specific projects. Ability to make presentations to small groups including knowledge of work, excel and powerpoint. USAF aircraft experience and experience in USAF Maintenance Data Collection Systems (i.e. CAMS, GO81) is desired. Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail are essential. Must have excellent written and verbal skills in order to effectively interact with Government counterparts, and cross-functional organizations.
