Northrop Grumman is seeking a Test Engineer 2 to work on a large Program in Landover, MD.
A successful candidate will be part of a test team to design, develop, and implement system level testing methods on a large scale client server application. The successful candidate will write and execute test procedures and document the testing results. This position will also include performing system level testing on network and communications components ( VoIP phones and VTC equipment) as used in context of the programs system.
This position requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
This position is within walking distance of the New Carrollton Metro/Amtrak/MARC station.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• A Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field, and 2 year testing experience, or 6 years work experience in lieu of degree
• Knowledge distributed computing and of networks.
• Good communications skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to translate requirements into test steps and test procedures.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of automated testing applications, Eggplant in particular.
• Basic knowledge of Unix, Apple OS, Enterprise Content systems, and relational databases.
