Job Description: 

We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician at our Tonawanda, New York plant!!

Responsibilities:




  • Required to move, assemble and install machinery and equipment such as shafting, precision bearings, gear boxes, motors, mechanical clutches, and conveyors, using overhead cranes, hoists, dollies, and trucks.

  • Make customized parts or repairs using lathes, milling machines, and welding / cutting equipment.

  • In addition, will also perform all duties of general laborer, such as pipe fitter, carpenter, and electrician.

  • Must be able to read blueprints and schematic drawings, assemble, dismantle and overhaul machinery and equipment, using hand and power tools and to direct workers engaged in such endeavors.

  • Will also be involved in routine tasks, lubrication of machinery, bearing replacement, seal replacement, cleaning of parts during overhaul and preventive maintenance.

  • Must have a good understanding of fluid mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems and their components such as valves, cylinders, pumps, and compressors.

  • Must also be able to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy, at heights without fear.

  • Will use logical step-by-step procedures in work; planning, solving problems and decision-making using simple root cause analysis.

  • Expertise working with precision tools, such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, gauge blocks, and optical and laser alignment tooling.



Basic Qualifications:




  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 5 years Industrial Maintenance Manufacturing experience

  • 5 years trouble shooting and problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:




  • Experience in Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Automated Equipment.

  • Experience with Conveyor Systems and High Temperature Furnaces

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
