General Position Description

Under minimal supervision, performs general administrative tasks in support of a specific business unit, department, project, or site such as general office functions, desktop publishing, special project support, and cost-accounting support. Performs desktop publishing support such as graphics development and the development of presentations, briefing materials, newsletters, and technical documents. Renders cost accounting support such as validation of HTSI and subcontractor invoice charges and task budget analysis. Provides editing support such as the proof-reading of technical documents for validation of content as well as ensuring that the document is written in the proper format in accordance with client specifications. Supports document development such as the development of technical manuals. Performs database entry and user support such as the query and development of special reports or databases. Provides personnel assistance such as the processing of new personnel paperwork. Accumulates technical information for the development of status reports and project plans. Special projects such as providing full administrative support to a specific client for efforts such as the development of technical manuals, development of procurement specifications, development of technical presentations, development of specific databases, consolidation of comments, and development of reports.


General Summary of Job Duties

Provides administrative support. Maintains office records through standardized file procedures, assists in maintaining/reporting timekeeping records for personnel in assigned section, development/composition of scheduled reports and briefings. Assists in the scheduling of appointments and meetings for key personnel in assigned area. Updates/maintains information retained in public folders on local intranet.
Qualifications and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Some college a plus. Minimum four (4) years administrative support experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel and Access. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
