Sensing and Control (S&C) is a strategic business unit in Automation and Control Solutions (ACS). S&C is one of the world's leading suppliers of sensors, switches, machine safeguarding and other devices for a variety of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) applications in the aerospace, medical, transportation, industrial, and test and measurement sectors.



We are seeking a Production Specialist for our Boyne City, MI facility.



Job Duties:



  • Manipulate small items, parts, etc.

  • Understand the principle of soldering and making satisfactory solder connections.

  • Understand assembly blue prints and operation cards.

  • Understand and utilize measurement tools.

  • A good working knowledge of general assembly work (assembling parts together with nuts, bolts, screws, adhesives, etc.)

  • Read wiring diagrams, assembly drawings and parts lists.

  • Produce good solder connections to appropriate military specifications.

  • Perform soldering of all types.

  • Successful completion of Honeywell Soldering School may be required.

  • Hand fitting close tolerance parts and assemblies.

  • Perform soldering, silver soldering or brazing operations using a torch or induction machine.

  • Work with minimum supervision.

  • Knowledge of the proper use of tools, equipment and materials

  • Sit for long periods of time

  • Distinguish colors.

  • Distinguish closely fitting surfaces.

  • Possess good depth perception.

  • Work under microscope for extended periods of time.

  • Understand terminology of symbols used on wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, parts list.

Basic Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Qualifications:



  • 6 months experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Read, write, and communicate with other employees.
