Project Manager – New Product Introduction

We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager to join a dynamic team of individuals located in Franklin, PA.


The successful candidate must be flexible enough to adapt to vastly different product lines, manufacturing processes and sites located around the world, and be capable of managing global multi-site project teams.

The R&D Project Manager acts to lead cross functional product development projects within the organization. He or she must have the ability to understand the inner workings and needs of these functions, relate them to a new product launch, follow the New Product Introduction (NPI) Process, and ensure all the necessary aspects of the launch are planned out and executed efficiently. A very methodical and hands-on approach to managing projects is critical for success.

The successful candidate will work in a global environment and must be able to think globally, allowing for cultural, geographical and even time zone differences ensuring projects proceed as planned, on schedule and within budget targets.



  • Develops and maintains full-scale project plans (schedule, budget, etc.) and associated deliverable documents, and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion

  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, dependencies and critical path and devise contingency plans

  • Responsible for understanding, identifying and responding to business and budget constraints that pose as project risks

  • Utilize contingency plans and other organizational resources to keep the project on track

  • Establish work and task priorities to ensure productivity, quality and customer service goals and objectives are met

  • Defines resources necessary for project/program completion and negotiates with functional managers to obtain appropriate resources

  • Manages relationships with vendors, consultants, contractors

  • Communicates project status, issues to high level management, users and staff

  • Responsible for conducting Phase Reviews and reporting program progress, issues and financial summaries to Senior Management via project reviews

  • Work with functional managers to resolve conflicts between Project Team Members and functions, manages resource requirements and financial budget

  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Manufacturing

  • 5 years of experience in managing global, multi-site, multi-product projects through a phase gate process including New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • 5 years of experience in managing cross-functional teams

  • 3 years of product design, manufacturing process experience (order to shipment of product)to include working within more than one functional area.

  • Experience in managing projects from concept to commercialization

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working within a documented quality system (ISO 9000)

  • Computer fluency including word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools and enterprise software.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with strong ability to influence internal business partners.

  • Experience in presenting and communicates project status, issues to high level management, users and staff.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification or training desired.

  • DFSS experience

  • Experience in managing relationships with vendors, contractors, and professional associations to keep informed with existing and evolving industry standards and technologies.
