As part of the Cybersecurity and Enterprise Solutions Operating Unit within the Defense Technologies Division, Defense Enterprise Solutions Business Unit, this position will be supporting a large Department of Defense program. The candidate will be r esponsible for o verseeing technical teams for the support of all Database and Application engineering and administration in a heterogeneous environment that could include Unix (HP, IBM, SUM), Linux, and Windows for Oracle, DB2, and MS SQL. Provides administration of all MCEITS DBs and supporting applications and adheres to current policies and supporting procedures for problem management, change management, configuration management, release and patch management, upgrades and migrations. Provides guidance and research in the resolution of complex technical DB and application related problems. Responsible for the creation of all documentation related to the installation, configuration, management, monitoring, performance and troubleshooting of DBs and applications in the MCEITS enterprise. Works with the command and application owners to coordinate DB and application changes that will benefit the enterprise, such as monitoring to reduce impact to operational downtime, and minimizing maintenance times. Maintains a team of leaders and engineers that provides extensive expertise in their functional areas in order to plan, develop and implement highly functional enterprise applications.
This position will be located in Kansas City, MO and is contingent upon award and/or customer approval. Position Description:
· Leads and supports all DB and application project based infrastructure and installation work, in addition to on-going day to day support · Responsible for all DB/Application Engineering teams performing application/data solutioning, loading, security, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, backup and recovery (including DR) · Ensure on time delivery of all change requests for database activities to include production patch assessment and application · Ensure housekeeping and monitoring of all database systems · Support DB upgrades · Oversee comprehensive DBMS security compliance with support for IAVA, STIG, and patch implementation and maintenance · Ensure interaction with other technical teams supporting common infrastructure components (Network, SAN, Backup, Firewall, etc) and client communications · Manage teams providing 24x7x365 support for DB production operations to include incident management, break/fix, change, service requests, vulnerability management(STIG) with On-Call rotation
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree with 6years of experience. May substitute 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree. · Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. · IAT level I required – Sec , Network , SSCP.
