Job Description: 


We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic students to participate in a summer internship for our Network Planning and Engineering Organization. The selected candidate will focus on engineering, managerial and financial aspects of AT&T's Mobility Network Planning and Engineering. The selected candidate will gain invaluable knowledge on how to design, build, and operate wireless networks. The selected candidate will get experience in several different aspects of our always changing business environment and will learn a broad prospective of the telecommunications business by interacting with all levels of management.


Duration of internship is 10 weeks.

We’re responsible for developing, designing, planning and building AT&T’s wireless and wired networks, including the nation’s fastest 3G, 4G and LTE wireless networks, our groundbreaking U-verse network and one of the world’s largest and most advanced IP backbone networks. Just as importantly, our team conducts industry-leading research and development for network technologies as well as the applications that take advantage of connectivity.


Required Qualifications –


  • Students pursuing a degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study
  • Currently enrolled within an accredited program with the following experience;

    • Java and/or .NET programming expertise
    • Data Base (SQL server) expertise; SQL queries

  • GPA of 3.2 or better on a scale of 4.0
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Self-motivated and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent analytical skills and great attention to detail
  • Proficient with MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated leadership attributes within curriculum, class projects, internships, etc.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management

Desired Qualifications –


  • Currently enrolled within an accredited Masters Degree or PhD program with the following experience (highly desired);

    • Java and/or .NET programming expertise
    • Data Base (SQL server) expertise; SQL queries

  • GPA of 3.2 or better on a scale of 4.0

U.S. citizen or permanent resident or other protected individual as defined in 8 U.S.C. Sec 1324(b)(3). We do not sponsor individuals for H Visas for this position.
