Job Description:  Actuation Engineering has the technical responsibility for Electromechanical and Pneumatic Actuators within MCOE Fuel, Actuation, Wheels & Brakes.

Supports project teams in the design, development and qualification of electromechanical actuators. Tacit knowledge of electric motors, motor controls, and sensors. Participates with IDPS team members in establishing program plans with respect to cost and schedule. Coordinates the design and development of actuators and components which meet customer and internal requirements. Identifies and resolves design problems of performance, strength, weight, material selection and finishes. Implements development and qualification test objectives, writes test procedures, oversees the preparation of test units and the conduct of tests. Coordinates activities to reduce test data, writes test reports and prepares recommendations related to the test objectives. Supports Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities associated with development, production and field service problems. Responsible, along with other IPDS team members, for management and accurate and timely reporting of program budget, schedule, and technical problems. Understands and applies risk management practices to development and production/field support programs.


Basic Qualifications:



• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering


• Minimum of 4 years directly related experience (experience in actuators or other related equipment preferred).



• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR restrictions.
