We are seeking an Assembly Associate I for our Northford, CT facility where the qualified candidate will perform the detailed job duties as required in the final cell assembly position for operators.


1st SHIFT – Hours of operation for 1st shift is from: 7:30AM – 4PM, M-F, Occasional overtime necessary.



Job Responsibilities:




  • Retrieve work folder from a filing cabinet which contains all necessary paperwork to perform job needed.


  • Set up work bench by bringing all the bins and packages/boxes of parts required for the job.


  • Assemble printed circuit board with parts needed prior to performing the functional test.


  • Apply printed circuit board to the functional test fixture following all prompts given.


  • Take a sheet metal chassis and apply all necessary labels, transformers and power supply boards.


  • After the functional test has been completed and the printed circuit board has passed, assemble it to the chassis which contains the transform and the power supply.


  • Apply the AC power up test to the unit.


  • Take the assembled unit and using the air driver, mount it inside the sheet metal back box which has been insert into it’s ship carton with all necessary inserts.


  • After the window or bezel has been applied to the sheet metal door along with all necessary marking labels, the door is to be mounted onto the sheet metal back box.


  • Insert all kits and installation documents and manuals.


  • Close the door with the key and tape the key onto the cardboard insert.


  • Close carton and slide the box through the tape machine.


  • Pick up the unit and stack onto the finished goods skid.


  • When the skid is full, move it to another non working cell by pushing the ergo lift.


  • A new skid will be placed in the cell by the material handler.


  • Operator must be able to lift at least 25 pounds, able to use hand tools, air drivers, and battery operated screw drivers. Operate automated test equipment. Read standardized work, bill of materials and drawings as well as quality checklist.


  • Maintain all charts, paperwork and metrics for the cell.


  • Work in a safe manner and maintain high levels of quality as well as consistently meet all hourly rates required.

Basic Qualifications:




  • High School Diploma or GED or 1 year assembly experience in lieu of education requirement


  • 1 year assembly experience


  • Must be able to lift 25lbs

Additional Qualifications:




  • Use of hand tools such as air drivers and screw drivers


  • 1 year packaging experience


  • Ability to read bills and materials, standard work instructions
