Job Description:

As a Product Marketing Specialist supporting the building automation portfolio, you would provide on-going business support to the Product Management team, including periodic market research, assisting with gathering “voice of the customer”, conducting product training to sales reps and customers, management of product introductions and product obsolescence, and assisting with product road maps. Candidate should have a strong technical aptitude with the ability and desire to understand complex building automation system software architectures.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support and training to sales reps and customers on building automation control products, systems, and software, as well as commercial thermostats and wall modules.
- Managing logistics surrounding the set up of new products and the obsolescence of end-of-life products
- Support of New Product Introductions (NPI) from inception through Voice of the Customer (VOC) and market introduction (6 Phase Gate process)
- Supporting communications between BCS group and Trade, OEM, Inter-divisional, and International channel customers regarding delivery, quality and product obsolescence
- Development and maintenance of literature for new and existing products.
- Support of marketing and business analysis to evaluate market opportunities
- Helping manage communications to Trade, OEM, Inter-divisional, and International channel customers regarding delivery, quality and product obsolescence
- Analyzing competitive products
- Working closely with engineering to develop new products and maintain existing products



Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.

  • Minimum two years of experience in a marketing, customer service, or engineering role where technical expertise was required.


Additional Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.

  • HVAC product experience strongly preferred.

  • Business-to-Business channel experience is desired

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Good communication skills including the ability to develop and present compelling presentations to internal and external customers.

  • Desire and willingness to support product management with delivering business results

  • High energy level

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making and organizational skills

  • Results-oriented, self-driven, and have the ability to successfully prioritize and execute many detailed tasks at any given time.

  • Meet short and long-term deadlines
