Description of Position : The System Engineer will be responsible for working with stakeholders to verify requirements traceability to developed products, manage product configuration, and lead the release of products developed. - Maintain, track and report product release status; compare releases to planned releases and make adjustments as needed throughout the Spin
- Manage stakeholder relationships with Thread Leads, Product Owners, Test Leads and customers to ensure requirements and capabilities are established for the Release
- Ensure that high level, lower levels and derived requirements are maintained and tracked in the RVTM
- Define and ensure compliance to release standards (configuration management, release naming conventions, standards for testing, security and Legal/Policy, documentation, gate criteria, etc.)
- Make decisions regarding ‘go/no go’ of release contents for cases where above standards have not been clearly met
- Manage the response to critical severity level defect reports against currently fielded releases
- Ensure that metrics are useful, being collected, and utilized to describe the status of the release
- Maintains Configuration Management (CM) plan / procedures and ensures that CM tools are properly configured to support the project’s CM activities and synchronization with the program RFC process
- Captures project plans and artifacts
- Leads the Change Control Board (CCB)
- Builds Releases
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements : - Five years in a technical role in projects and programs including agile development projects.
- Five years experience as a Systems Engineer supporting programs to develop and field large-scale systems to include experience in system architecture, requirements analysis, system documentation, system evaluation, and process execution and evaluation.
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or other technical discipline
- Experience in full system life cycle from concept development through testing, deployment and operations.
- The candidate must have demonstrated ability to write system engineering documentation and be able to deliver technical presentation to large audiences
- The candidate must be results-oriented, self motivated and an effective communicator
- The candidate must have working experience with MS Office products
Preferred Skills : - Knowledge of SIGINT mission systems
- Knowledge of DNI technologies and protocols
- Ability to work in a fast paced agile development environment
- General knowledge of XML, JMS messaging, Linux, MySQL, UNIX scripting, web services (SOAP, Spring, REST) and visualization frameworks.
