Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Information systems Technologist 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Raleigh, NC.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's IT support of the US Postal Service
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Remote support of USPS users in troubleshooting Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 7 and Terminal Service issues
• Package applications and updates for distribution and remote installation with Wise Package Studio
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• Bachelors degree in Computer science or a related field
• 5 years experience supporting desktop users of Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 7
• 5 years experience packaging Windows applications for deployment using Wise Installer and Wise Package Studio
• 5 years experience supporting MS Terminal Services applications
• 2 years experience supporting users via telephone
• A thorough understanding of how applications install on the Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 7 platforms
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, REGEDIT and REGEDT32, WISE Installer,
• Working knowledge of WISE Package Studio, MSI Installer and SMS.
• Experience with remote access tools, including RDP, Netmeeting and Windows Desktop Sharing.
• Must be able to obtain a USPS clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
• MCSE
• 5 years experience supporting desktop users of Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 7
• 5 years experience packaging Windows applications for deployment using Wise Installer and Wise Package Studio
• 5 years experience experience supporting MS Terminal Services applications
