An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Product Marketing Manager in the AF&C business group. Reporting to the Business Director the Product Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting and managing all of the product marketing related activities within the AF&C business. The successful candidate will work closely with supply chain, manufacturing and sourcing, engineering and R&D, sales and business managers to maximize the growth, development and return on investment of the organization’s product portfolio today and in the future.

Job Responsibilities:


· Facilitate end-to-end development of demand plan using sales and marketing input, historical inputs, and market / customer intelligence to construct an operational plan for supply planning


· Work with Business managers to optimize allocation of capacity-constrained products to the most profitable and strategic regions & customers


· Host and drive demand meetings, engaging broader team including sales, marketing, supply and manufacturing on implications and decisions regarding demand plan


· Host and drive portfolio review meetings, to set and review product strategies such as make to order / make to stock, timing of sku startups / retirements and review proposed inventory targets to support commercial plans while minimizing inventory costs


· Utilize, maintain, improve SAP/APO and related SAP/BW reports to organize and report on demand plans as well as drive improvement of forecast accuracy


· Participate as key member in the SIOP process and executive SIOP meetings


· Work closely with Supply chain to make sure demand and supply plans are aligned


· Work closely with Operations to understand and optimize utilization of assets. In conjunction with ISC, provide input to enable production facilities to minimize costs and optimize profitability and flexibility


· Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the products and their applications, costs, prices and profit margins


· Help institute new and refine existing processes to improve business performance; processes include: supply/demand management; scenario planning; forecasting; make vs. buy; alignment with other functions; competitive analysis; pricing analysis


· Evaluate investments to expand, de-bottleneck and upgrade assets


· Collect, analyze and share competitive information for product lines (prices, costs, capacities, utilization, quality, strategies, substitutes, etc.)


· Support Marketing and AF&C Team in building STRAP and AOP


· Help set product pricing strategies and policies. Work closely with Business Managers & Sales to optimize.




BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:



· Minimum 10 years of marketing, product management, supply chain or finance experience


· Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or Technical discipline required



ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:



· BS in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or, technical major preferred. MBA desired


· Experience with global supply, demand, production, capacity and asset planning


· Ability to analyze costs, prices and markets


· Ability to perform financial analysis (NPV, IRR, payback, etc.) to help make marketing decisions


· Ability to influence without a direct reporting relationship


· Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills


· Strong analytical skills. Good judgment and decision making


· Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
