We currently have an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer III at our facility in Northford, CT.



Job Description:




  • Be part of the engineering design team to help define architectures enabling low cost manufacturing. Able to lead Design for Cost, Design for Test, and Design for Manufacturing activities.

  • Coordinate the introduction of new products into Production.

  • Program Management skills to help manage and monitor engineering and support groups for Value Engineering projects

  • Responsible for resolving manufacturing issues on the factory floor, and working as a liaison between manufacturing and engineering. Liaison to other departments: program management, quality and procurement. Ability to prioritize engineering activities.

  • Interface with suppliers to improve the quality and delivery of sourced product. Work with suppliers as part of design activity to involve them in assisting in DFX activities.

  • Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, optimize workflow, workforce and shop floor layout by utilizing Lean and 6 sigma tools to achieve efficient production and process capabilities

  • Define assembly and test process and standard work instructions and provide training to production operators and technicians as required.

  • Able to lead teams for Root Cause Corrective Action on manufacturing and field issues.

  • Develop and create tooling for new and existing products.

  • Implement manufacturing process controls, including Process Control Plans and FMEAs. Review data and affect change to improve quality.

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining process specifications, including standard work routings and managing Engineering Changes.


Basic Qualifications:




  • Bachelor Degree in a technical field or 10 years experience in a Manufacturing environment

  • 3 years experience in SMT Machine Programming and Process Control


Additional Qualifications:




  • Exceptional Organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Advanced Computer and networking skills

  • Advanced skills in Micro-soft office suite

  • Programming skills using Access Database and Excel a plus
