BAMS Flight Test Operations Manager (MGR 3) The Flight Test Manager for the Broad Area Maritime System (BAMS) is responsible for providing management direction and leadership for a flight test team based at Patuxent River, MD, Rancho Bernardo, CA, and Palmdale, Ca. Duties include overseeing flight test planning, execution, and reporting activities; managing technical, cost, and schedule performance to the EVMS baseline and provide required status to System Test IPT management; coordinating and executing test site activation activities and acting as the primary interface with government counterparts for all test site activities; and identifying and coordinating the availability of test facilities, test ranges, and supporting GFE with the customer and government agencies. In addition, the Flight Test IPT lead provides timely resource forecasts to functional management to assure proper staffing and resources are in place to execute the Flight Test IPT Statement of Work. The candidate must be willing to travel on a regular basis. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: BS degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Math or equivalent plus 15 yrs applicable experience in flight test. The candidate must possess excellent leadership, interpersonal, written and communication skills, and demonstrated the ability to lead organizations and drive positive change in past assignments. Current DOD secret clearance required. Preferred Qualifications: MS degree in engineering, computer science, Math or related field. Experience as a Test Conductor, Test Director, and/or Air Vehicle Manager is preferred. Military aviation experience and Test Pilot School Graduate is a plus.
