Job Description:  A new world of opportunity exists at Northrop Grumman. Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Communications Network Engineer 5, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) Development Program . Roles and Responsibilities: Communications Engineer reporting to the Integrated Fire Control H/W and Production Support Lead supporting IFC Network integration and production activities. These activities include IFCN design support, H/W procurement support, test and verification support and support to integration and assembly of the COMM components of the IFCN Relay. The Comm Engineer will work closely with NG procurement and vendors to work delivery dates and ensure hardware is received as scheduled. The Comm Engineer will also ensure the COMM Lab is operational as needed by the Network Engineering team and provided test support as needed.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems and 2 years of related experience or a Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems. 4 years of directly related experience may be traded for Bachelor's degree requirement. Basic office suite - word, excel, etc. Knowledge of Communication hardware integration and production. Knowledge of hardware procurement to include working with vendors on quotes, delivery dates and requirements. Work experience on a Department of Defense program. Active Department of Defense Secret clearance.


Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Project experience. Experience with hardware production activities. Experience with hardware integration activities.
