Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Systems Analyst 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Washington, DC.
Where Technology and Teamwork come together... The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Department of State, Bureau of Human Resources engagement in support of the Electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) suite of applications. The engagement is a multi-year program that involves the development of new and on-going maintenance of existing application.
Roles and Responsibilities: • Business Process Analysis and documenting Business Process Flows using MS Visio • Gathering General user Requirements and translating these into Detailed Functional Requirements and System Requirements Specifications (SRS) • Interacting with Subject Matter Experts (SME)s, organizing and facilitating requirement meetings and interview stakeholders at various levels • Documenting User Interface (GUI) requirements and actively participating in system design discussions • Interacting with developers, testers and conducting requirement walkthroughs • Working on reverse engineering efforts • Creating and executing test cases • Preparing ad hoc SQLs/Reports • Represent project team at management meetings • Assist with the generation and upkeep of Microsoft Project plans • Ability to work with supporting teams (DBAs, Network Operations) to assist with application configuration and debugging of issues
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: • 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. • Should be able to understand the overall System Architecture and interact with the developers to discuss Requirements and Architecture related issues. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Must have prior knowledge of the SDLC • Must have 3 years of requirements gathering and documenting (reverse engineering) experience • Must have experience interacting with the client on a daily basis • Must be able to obtain and maintain a fully adjudicated Secret Clearance – (Minimally, an interim secret clearance is needed for employment). Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: • Atleast 1 year of coding experience in VB or equivalent language • Position prefers a candidate with a current Secret Clearance • Knowledge of the SQL language and enterprise RDBMS. This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, customer approval, and ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
