Job Description:  This position is for a Manager of Continuous Improvement & Compliance for the Hardware Engineering Organization. Responsibilities include: 1. Development and monthly monitoring of key metrics related to various aspects of the HW design process with a focus on defect containment 2. Support/leadership of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action team activities, developing/presenting lessons learned and incorporating into process improvements 3. Ensuring design process compliance across the organization and support/leadership for audits (ISO9000, CMMI, etc) 4. Review assigned training, monitor to ensure compliance and support development/revision of necessary training to meet organizational needs 5. Analysis of design tools, processes, and equipment needed to support strategic product plans 6. Promote awareness, understanding, acceptance, and engagement of CI methodology within the organization through training, facilitation, projects, and events.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: BS Degree with 5 or more years of job related experience to include experience developing and monitoring metrics; demonstrated experience supporting/leading process improvement (Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action, Lessons Learned) activities, demonstrated ability to ensure design process compliance across the organization and to assume a support/lead role in audits (ISO9000, CMMI, etc). Must be able to analyze design tools, processes, and equipment needed to support strategic product plans. DoD Secret Clearance required. Candidates who meet the basic qualifications of the position will be invited to complete a mandatory Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems Leadership Assessment developed by Gallup, a worldwide leader in strengths based selection. This assessment will help us learn more about you and the talents you might bring to a leadership position within the organization. The assessment is one component of the selection decision.

Preferred Qualifications: Engineering background and experience in lean and six sigma process improvement preferred. Black Belt or related experience/training preferred.
