This opportunity is for a person that can be deployed for a period of 12 month in Afghanistan. The candidate must have the ability to provide service work on Diesel Generator/HVAC equipment in the field. This person will also specialize in preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery and mechanical equipment including: Diesel Generators, ECU equipment and electrical equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs routine scheduled maintenance on all auxiliary equipment • Observes mechanical devices in operation and diagnoses problems by sight and sound to resolve issues. • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. • Tests, adjusts and repairs equipment to be operational. • Repairs or replaces defective parts. • Lubricates and cleans parts. • Requests parts and machines to be ordered as needed. • Repairs basic electrical equipment. • Completes electrical service tie-in to rig or generator power • Break down, load, and reset rig site equipment at time of rig movement • Responds to all service calls • Communicate and work in a professional manor with co-workers and rig site personnel at all times • Prepare and/or participate in safety meetings • Responsible for the preventative maintenance to assigned equipment • These responsibilities are not all inclusive other job duties will be assigned as needed Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and a minimum of 3 years applied experience.
