Job Description:  Prepares drawings that include various views, sectional profiles, detail drawings, and assembly and subassembly drawings from sketches, marked-up prints, layouts, and models.
Drafts detailed drawings such as wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical detail drawings, intermediate and final assemblies, repair of electronic components, and printed circuit boards. Examines electronic schematics and supporting documents to develop, compute, and verify specifications drafting data such as configuration of parts, dimensions, and tolerances. Maintains records and files on topographic, horizontal, and vertical control surveys. Prepares electronic drawings and documents, as directed by Configuration Management Specialist.
Maintains and updates technical library and the IEMS library database. Responsible for inventories, categorizing, filing, and maintaining updated computer diskette databases. Responsible for all material contained in the technical libraries. Assists personnel in locating and obtaining materials. Explains and assists in the use of reference sources. Describes or demonstrates procedures for searching files. Issues and receives materials

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited technical or service school.
Three years of recent drafting experience.
One year experience in technical publications and documentation.
One year experience in electronic documentation, to include proficiency in MS Visio and Adobe Acrobat.
Knowledgeable of Government and Military publications, drawing standards, and filing systems.
Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Quality Management Awareness Training
IEMS Training
