| Job Description: |
· Mechanic reports to a Crew Leader, and works as part of the team. · Provide daily support of all maintenance related activities, and accepts responsibility for assigned equipment. · Receive and evaluate work requests, investigates and troubleshoots problems in a timely organized manner. · Scope out and survey special projects for Facilities Maintenance Mgmt. · Attend various Team meetings and training with/for Maintenance Mgmt./Facilities engineers.
· Physically assists HVAC/GM Mechanics as required. · Communicates problems to Crew lead, orders parts, follows up on work assigned, complete tasks in a timely manner. · Accurately submits paper work daily. · Work is highly varied and requires independent judgment and initiative. · Work safely at all times and follow EH&S safety procedures, and guidelines.
Must have a working knowledge of plumbing, electrical circuits, carpentry, small engines, vehicle repair. Able to maintain, troubleshoot and repair. · Must be comfortable and knowledgeable of all types of power tools and table saws.
· Restroom sink/toilet fixture repair and replacement. · Replace/ repair light fixtures i.e. ballasts (277 VAC) and T-8 lights. · Repair exhausts fans. · Run 120volt 20 amp circuits. · Install chair rail for conference rooms. · Hang pictures and banners. · Repair snow blowers/small generators. · Repair/replace hot water pumps. · Assemble modular partitions for office refresh. · Perform café set ups and other conference room rearrangements. · Standard computer programs such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, · Read and troubleshoot from electrical schematics and blue prints . Motivated self starter with leadership potential. 2. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent with 8 years experience in the Maintenance field or an Associates degree and 4 years of experience in the Maintenance field.
3. Work overtime with short notice and be available for emergency call- in on a rotating basis. 4.
Fa Familiar with OSHA guidelines and Voluntary Protection
Program (VPP) star status requirements. 5.
