Job Description: 

Information Systems sector is seeking a mid-level VMware specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Washington, DC. Put your years of experience into a future of excellence... The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Civil Systems Division’s FBI group that supports an effort to virtualize the FBI Public Key Infrastructure, which currently runs on a set of closed-network Dell servers, running Windows Server 2003 operating system.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the design and implementation of a VMware VSphere v5 Enterprise Plus architecture for high availability, scalable, extensible environment
• Install and configure VMware vSphere v5 Enterprise Plus suite of products, including VCenter and VCLI
• Build VMware virtual machines
• Administration of VMware Infrastructure solutions


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7 years experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Must have at least 1 year experience in designing, building and maintaining operational systems on VMware virtual hosting environments.
• Must also have familiarity with data networks to include: configuring firewalls, Load Balancers, Virtual Public Networks (VPNs), VLANs, routers, and switches.
• Position requires an active Top Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration.
• VMware certification
• Microsoft certifications (MCSE, MCP for Windows Server 2003, 2008)
• Oracle databases
• Microsoft SQL databases
• Experience with Physical to Virtual (P2V) conversion tools
• Cisco Nexus switches
• Cisco ASA VPN/firewall
• Big IP LTM Virtual Edition
• EMC VNX Storage Arrays

This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and/or customer approval.
