FBI PKI VMWARE Subject Matter Expert Job Details

Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Senior VMware Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Washington, DC. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Civil Systems Division’s FBI group that supports an effort to virtualize the FBI Public Key Infrastructure, which currently runs on a set of closed-network Dell servers, running Windows Server 2003 operating system.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Design & implement VMware VSphere v5 Enterprise Plus architecture for high availability, scalable, extensible environment
• Design Datastore Storage (Fiber Channel, NAS, SAN)
• Install and configure VMware vSphere v5 Enterprise Plus suite of products, including VCenter and VCLI
• Implement virtual image backup/recovery solutions and appliances
• Administration of VMware Infrastructure solutions
• Leverage scripting, automation and vCenter Server features to scale the virtual infrastructure
• Design and Implement NAT solutions
• Design and Implement complex firewall rule sets
• Design and Implement VPN solutions with multifactor authentication requirements
• Design and Implement Load Balancing solutions
• Tuning and management of complex network environments
• Set up Storage solutions and Fiber Channel networking
• Set up FCOE networking
• Implement VLAN separation to maintain isolated security zones
• Design and implement Active Directory Forests and Domains for small, compartmentalized environment
• Design and implement GPOs to enforce organizational security requirements

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• Masters's degree in a related field and 15 years experience. An additional 6 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degrees.
• Familiarity with VMWare vSphere v5 Implementation Best Practices
• Experience with major Storage solutions (SAN/NAS)
• Must have at least 3 years experience in designing, building and maintaining operational systems on VMware virtual hosting environments.
• Must also have strong data-network skills to include: configuring firewalls, Load Balancers, Virtual Public Networks (VPNs), VLANs, routers, and switches.
• Must be able to design VMware-based architectures for scalability and high-availability.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification is required.
• Position requires an active Top Secret clearance.
